Trey Yuen

For 30 years, Trey Yuen has been the standard-bearer for Chinese cuisine in the Greater New Orleans Area, attracting discerning diners from miles around to the five Wong bothers’ opulent, palatial restaurants in Mandeville and Hammond.

Executive chefs Tommy Wong and Frank Wong have served as guest chefs at the White House and they have been featured nationwide on Great Chefs of New Orleans, and Great Chefs of Great Cities. Their many accolades include having their restaurant honored as “Restaurant of the Year” by the Louisiana Restaurant Association, and the American Culinary Federation of New Orleans has named them “Best Chefs of Louisiana.”

The Wongs are devoted to using indigenous Louisiana ingredients in their interpretations of their native dishes. This includes Jazzmen rice.

“We love the taste and the aroma. This fresh, local rice makes all the difference in our dishes. We use it here at Trey Yuen and at home. We proudly support Jazzmen rice!”
